Bring Out Your Linen

Experience the art and culture of New Orleans during this year's White Linen Night by the Arts District of New Orleans, as well as the the Royal Arts District's Dirty Linen Night.

White Linen Night

The Arts District of New Orleans is hosting its 31st annual White Linen Night, sponsored by Fidelity Bank, on August 2, 2025. Put on your white linen and eat and drink from local vendors as you stroll the Arts District and view some of the best artwork coming out of New Orleans.

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the 300-600 blocks of Julia Street will be dedicated to this art-filled stroll. Other galleries off Julia Street, as well as The Contemporary Arts Center and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, will also invite in guests.

Tickets can be purchased on the Arts District New Orleans' website.

Dirty Linen Night

The Royal Arts District is hosting its 22nd Annual Dirty Linen Night on August 9, 2025. This event will take place on the 300-1100 blocks of Royal Street. Honoring the less-than-spotless parts of the French Quarter, Dirty Linen Night is about celebrating the grittiness and mixed-matched-ness that makes New Orleans such an eclectic city.

All proceeds from this year's Dirty Linen Night Raffle will benefit the PLEASE Foundation. In addition, the Royal Street Arts District will make a cash donation of $2,500 to the foundation. Founded by Yvette Endom, the PLEASE Foundation is dedicated to helping at-risk New Orleans high school students get into college via mentoring, scholarships, and lessons in leadership.

Wristbands are available for purchase on Dirty Linen Night's website.

Not Too Clean But Not Too Dirty?

New Orleans is a city that exists beyond definitions, and so is its art. There's parts that are squeaky clean and parts that are a little dirty. That's true for us (and our wardrobes!), too. So show off your spotless linen on White Linen Night, but don't be afraid to be a little bold on Dirty Linen Night, as well! Regardless, the city and its artists will thank you!
